Tips to help you get "Picked"

Weehoooo! Super stoked that you’re keen to join the Picky community. We’d recommend you read the below before you submit your collection.
Picky is what’s considered a macrostock photography site. So compared to other microstock sites we have fewer high quality, carefully curated photos at slightly higher cost. Every Picky image has something a little extra special about them. As such it can be slightly more competitive than being accepted onto other mainstream sites.
To give you some numbers for context, in our first year of launching Picky we accepted around 40 contributing photographers. Since then however, we’ve only grown to around 55 contributors in total out of hundreds of submissions.
We are looking for creators who can add portfolio diversity and expand our collection into areas we haven’t yet explored. While we don’t require contributors to have years of industry experience, we do look for originality, consistency, boldness, and surprising work.
As we're a small specialist site, we are very conscious of not flooding the market with content unless it either offers something new or helps to raise the overall quality level on Picky. So if the subject you submit in your application is already well represented, it’s likely your submission will not be successful unless it’s top of the top in craft or diverse perspectiveswill be rejected. So we’d recommend you spend a bit of time familiarising yourself with our content and doing some searches to see what you think you could offer to add to the collection. that we may be missing.
Additionally, here’s a few of our 2023To make this a little easier for you, we’ve listed a few focus areas. for 2023 which are listed below. Ifyou think some of your work lends itself to these particular themes or scenes, we’d love to see these.
